Althea Crome creates miniature art pieces at bug-knit scale, which is 1:12. Knitted items like gloves, sweaters, and socks are just some of the miniatures she works on. Althea has been knitting full size items for many years, but began this form of extreme knitting to try new patterns, which would be expensive and difficult to produce at full size.

There are many galleries on Althea's website, Bug Knit, which showcase her unique designs and skill. This extreme craft is a marvel to see and is a creative way to try new patterns and ideas without the huge expense of time and materials.
