Recycled Jeans Transformed into a Wedding Dress!
May 7th, 2009 in sewing, fashion, restyleIf you're not a satin and lace kinda girl, I have the dress for you! I found this amazing "Outsapop Trashion—Discarded to Divine denim wedding dress" in the Stylehive (Have you gone there yet? It's an amazing treasure trove of inspiration for fashion design and accessories.) The entire dress was made from different parts of jeans. The shoulder straps are fashioned from yoke and waistband sections, and there is a double row of tack buttons running down the back to create a corset-style closure. Denim roses embellish both the front and back bodice. And, a closer look revealed strips of denim woven together to create even more dimension. I love how the original topstitching was used to its best advantage. The designer, Outi Espoo, is a self-proclaimed crafty fashion-addicted girl from Finland. I'd say she's super-crafty creative! You can check out all her craft tutorials and other stuff at Outsapop.com!
