I have made at least five of these skirts so far! They are SO easy and quick to make. I can make one faster than I can go to the mall and back! :) I will try to get pictures of the ones I made for myself soon.

This is my niece in a skirt and shirt I restyled for her birthday. She helped pick the colors, thread, and fabrics. We had a great time, and made some fun memories together.

***Use a contrasting thread, pull the seams a bit. It adds a lot of interest and a "pop" of unexpected color to the skirt!

****For a two-second headband, cut the end of the armhole off the scraps of the the shirt just above the seam. Stretch to fit. Voila! Instant headband!

itsallgood2me writes: Love this! need help! I am sure it makes sense to everyone else, but I do not sew (with a machine). Question: are you sewing across & connecting the top panels(waist)first? then secondly sewing the panels together top to bottom (legnth of skirt)? Thank you. I plan to make this skirt this afternoon with my daughter....! So excited..!
