Decoupage a Colorful Pendant and Earrings Set!
comments (1) May 24th, 20093. Next, choose your imagery. I decided on sugar skulls from a Crafty Chica inspiration card, and cut them out with sharp scissors. Attach the imagery of your choice to the front of each disc with craft glue, pressing it down evenly, and let it dry completely.

4. After the images have set, apply a coat of gloss varnish over the surface of each disc. Let it dry completely and repeat to add a second coat afterwards. If desired, add a coat of varnish to the back of the discs as well.
5. When the varnish is dry, choose the embellishments and charms you’ll decorate your pieces with. I chose amber rhinestones to accentuate the eyes on the skulls, and a vintage star charm for my pendant, as well as Crafty Chica charms for my earrings.

6. Use craft glue to add rhinestones or other flat-backed decorations, and use pliers to join the charms to the ring at the bottom of each disc, so they swing freely and face forward.
7. Once the rhinestone glue has dried, add earring wires to the top rings on the earring discs, and slip the chain through the pendant bail so it hangs freely. Your decoupaged set of jewelry is ready to wear!

Embellish your set with sparkles or other flat-backed embellishments right on the discs and add charms below for extra shine. |
Variation: You might also like making an embellished collage shrine in the same style—I used one of Kathy's inspiration cards as the central design of my Day of the Dead art piece last year!
