Marimekko Godet dress
comments (0) July 23rd, 2010 in galleryThis dress is a basic sleeveless princess seam sheath dress with self-fabric bindings around armholes and neckline. I followed the instructions from the Threads article "Marimekko Godets" to add rectangular godets to the hemline. Changes from the methods described in the article were: (1) add 6" tab on each side of each piece, 9" high (2) cut into each piece at the 9" mark by 3" [instead of 6", since the pieces aren't wide enough to cut 6"]. Fabric is silk-weight striped knit from Rose City Textiles.
