Summer Elegance
June 5th, 2009 in sewing, fashion, restyle, galleryI used a purple with flowers stretchy silk material for the dress. I used the given pattern for the bodice. I added a strip of the same material in the middle of the dress for extra flow. for the top of the dress, I used my own design. I did a v - neck neckline. For embelishment, I braided strips of the same material (for a rope look) and hand sewed them to the bustline and the top of the dress. For the straps, I also used braided strips of fabric and crossed them in the back. The long flowing look of the dress gives it an elegant look, while keeping the light flowery look for the summer.
