Since I wasn't too excited about using cloth diapers as burp rags, I decided to repurpose my husband's favorite, worn out t-shirts to make some fun and meaningful burp rags. After deciding on the dimensions, I used a rotary cutter to cut out the front and back of a t-shirt for a 2-ply burp rag (I also made some 4-ply burp rags by inserting a plain shirt between the printed layers). Then, I simply zigzag stitched the layers together. The worn jersey knit cloth was already incredibly soft and absorbant, and the edges don't fray. And, truth be told, I've caught my husband selecting just the right burp rags to pack in the diaper bag because of their special meaning to him!
