Re-styling and Bringing to Life Your Old Plain Tops
June 22nd, 2009 in sewing, fashion, restyle, galleryI recently got a sewing machine, and I love experimenting on it! I have to admit I am not very patient or "neat", but here is something I made today. The idea of the flowers came from another Craftstylish user (http://www.craftstylish.com/item/44513/how-to-make-an-eco-friendly-corsage) so check it out! I made two of the flowers, but with inverted colours and then attatched them to an old plain singlet top from crossroads. There was originally a small hole where the bottom flower is now, so it was a good way to cover that up, and re-style a boring white top.
I then added little details of the leaves using the scrap material. I didn't buy any new materials for this project...you can just use scraps, old shirts and cloths - you can even do it without a sewing machine (if you're patient).
