From Rags to Riches (almost)

Tada - not so shabby!
An old skirt that mum wanted to chuck, but I rescued it
Plus one of my old summer party tops
Attached the skirt to the top from the inside
I coiled some remnant fabric from the lining of another dress  to make a shabby rose. Then I sewed a broken brooch in the middle of the rose
Tada - not so shabby!

I'm glad I didn't chuck away mum's old skirt and my old summer top...otherwise I would never have thought the result could be somewhat like Cinderella...from rags to riches ;-)
