Bold Red and Gold Upcycled Belt Buckle Necklace

Now that bolder jewelry styles have cycled back around, it was so much fun to embellish an old belt buckle and turn it into a necklace.

I started by cutting the cross bar in the middle and rolling each to the side to make a loop so that the necklace "o's" could be attached.  I beaded loosely across where the cross bar used to be and continued on to make long enough for a necklace.  Then, I put chain extensions on each side to give optional lengths for the wearer.
