Soft Treatments add the finishing touch to your home, they also help with sound control, light, heat and cold.  Selecting the correct fabrics for soft treatments is very important.  There are so many wonderful fabrics in the home furnishings market but not all fabrics are created equal of window treatments.

Just a few tips!  Cotton Blends are wonderful, Polyester has a mind of its own and sometimes it is hard to control, Silk is beautiful but it must be interlined and will fade with direct sunlight.  It is very important to find out the content of your fabric when purchasing it for a project.   If your fabric does not know the content I suggest you shop elsewhere, many retail outlets that sell home decor fabrics stock mill seconds or irregulars.  It is best to order from a Quality Fabric company to insure the best results in your soft treatment project.

Think about attending a sewing class on window treatments before starting a new project, it is surprising how many tips you will learn to make the job easier.  Home Fashions U in Arizona offers a fall Sewing Retreat, Window Treatments, Draperies, Slipcovers and more.

Have your worked hard on a beautiful project and you are so proud of it!  It is time to share your project with us at Home Fashions U.  If your projects involve fabric you can send photos to us and enter our decorating contest. For more information go to www.homefashonsu.com
