Jewelry Tag of my own

I can hardly contain my excitement! After 40 years of creating jewelry, I finally had my own designer tag manufactured. Until now, I put it off because I kept telling myself:
1. It’s too expensive
2. I don’t really need it
3. I can’t decide what metal to do it in
4. It takes too much time
5. The list goes on and on
One day I took the plunge. I had seen a tag company, Tercat,(http://tercat.com/) at the MJSA (Manufacturers Jewelry Show of America.) and I fell in love with every shape and style; it was hard to choose but then my tag, “jp Designs” came together. What had seemed too complicated became instantly doable.
When my tags finally arrived by mail, I was surprised how happy they made me! I felt a pride of ownership I couldn’t explain. This little sterling dangle with my name on it was “me.” I didn’t need to plate it in Vermeil to match my gold jewelry. For the first time, I didn’t worry about that. It could dangle from any design, no matter the metal, and it would look great because I was adding “me” to the design. If you can afford to get one made, don’t wait 40 years like I did. It’s a powerful feeling having your name permanently on your designs.
Here is my design using brushed vermeil rings, vermeil chain, freshwater pearls, fire polish and a fun rhinestone barrel clasp. Not to mention, my personal jewelry tag! This design can be worn long to 40" or doubled over. I made it for my lovely god daughter who wanted something to pair with a j.crew necklace I thought was pretty boring. But when she wears the two together, it takes the off-the-rack necklace to new heights. As it turns out, she's thrilled and wears my design on its own.
