This project was so much fun and so impressive to look at! I started with inexpensive boxes from Michaels.  The brown "paper sack" colored ones. I rolled paper around shish kabob reed sticks and glued the end down.  Funny papers look completely different than magazine pages!  This is fun, cheap.  fairly easy and the finished projects look so rich!  I finished it off with glossy modge podge.  Seems very sturdy.  I gave my box marble legs and a large marble for the lid "handle" to open the box.
