This is a close up of the bubble collar detail. Very new technique for me and a little challenging (especially because the pattern is misprinted and doesn't explain how you are supposed to do it) but totally worth it in the end.

This is a closer look at the inside ... a view of the lining and also the wrap. This was also a first for me. I have never fully lined anything before and felt pretty fancy when "slipping" it on. ;)

This is the picture I tore out of the catalog ... my inspiration. Didn't love it in white but thought the cranberry worked very well.

I saw this dress in a favorite catalog (Down East Basics) I get and set out to make it. I found a pattern that was almost identical to the dress in the catalog. Butterwick 5320. I changed only a few things. I made the sleeves less snug than the inspiration but tighter than the butterwick pattern. I also brought the neck line up a little from the pattern.
