Fashion Corset
comments (2) September 23rd, 2009 in galleryI love the lines in this corset, so I applied the same style lines to my pattern. The corset is fully boned, using traditional corsetry techniques. This requires a self fabric, heavy sew in interfacing, and a stiff lining. I stitched lines down the interfacing and lining pieces to create channels for the boning, then applied the self fabric over top to create a smoother, modern look. The front has a busk closure and grommets for lacing down the center back. Bias trim closes the top and bottom of the corset. I draped the pattern and then fit it to my measurements.
