Blue vest and skirt

The top is a Vogue pattern 1098, the skirt is an old pattern adapted with pleats. The fabric is relatively heavy, yet soft and lightly shining, with a touch of tapestry.  The challenge was to align the design of the fabric of each piece, and ensure that the collar, the cuffs and the bottoms of the vest and skirt had the flowery tapestry well defined.
