Upcycled Leather and Freeform Crochet Bag
July 15th, 2008 in sewing, other crafts, fashion, gifts, crochet, galleryI made this purse with really cool dusty grey leather, that I salvaged from an old trench coat. The outer edges are free form crochet in pale grey and dark grey, the handle is free form crochet. There is a lot of detail in the crochet work, also some twisty fringies.
The closure is made from two plastic buttons stacked together, also salvaged from other clothing. I would like to enter this into the eco-chic catagory. I should win this competion because my design is completely original, unique and one of a kind. It fits the catagory well by using recycled material. The biggest reason I think I should win is my Birthday is August 8th, and wouldn't it be a cool birthday present to be the winner!!!
