Recycle plastic trays from the supermarket
comments (1) November 27th, 2009Wash and dry empty plastic foam food trays you get from the supermarket, then stack them for use in your sewing room. These free, perfectly-sized trays are good project containers for storing notions when you begin a new project. The trays can hold needles, plins, threads, buttons, and they're portable for convenient hand sewing.

I use my sewing themed mugs as organizers next to my sewing table. Marking pencils, scissors (first put a piece of cardboard in the bottom of the mug to cushion the points), misc. tools and my small hand held iron.
They are all within easy reach in a compact organized spot.
