I thought I would put my bear hat to good use this year.

I look like a six year old who got lost in the dress up closet at school.

The rest of the Threads editorial staff dressed as Pantone colors for our annual Halloween party at the office.

While my costume this year was not hand sewn, it was certainly a creative undertaking. I wanted to use the bear hat I picked up last year in Austin in my costume somehow, but I wasn't sure what I could be. When I came across a white faux fur vest the same color as the hat, I knew there was an opportunity here. White fur lined steampunk goggles, purple tights, knee socks, and some purple sneakers completed the look, and the Fur Fairy was born.
