Zakumi Amigurumi

Zakumi is a cheetah. He is the mascot of the 2010 soccer World Cup in South Africa. The name Zakumi is a composition of ZA, the lettering denoting Zuid Afrika (South Africa in Dutch) and "Kumi", which means 10 in languages across South Africa. More important: he is cute and huggable.

It took two weeks to design and make Zakumi. The first version was too tall, so I had to shorten him to give him a boyish look. It's all basic crochet so not difficult. Because there are many parts it was still a lot of work. I really like Zakumi :)
