Here is Pam in her dress at the Mary Kay Convention.

The top was a halter made of white poplin. I reinforced the ruffle area with Fusiknit interfacing, and the ruffle itself is made from organdy.

This dress was commissioned by a woman who saw something similar in a department store window. We made a couple design changes to better fit her shape and sense of style. The entire ensemble is made from poplin, while the ruffle is made from organdy. She wore it the week of July 28th to a Mary Kay Convention where she was named first in the nation...wearing my dress...on stage! This is my first garment to leave the state so I am very excited! When I get pictures from her in the dress, I will add those to my post.

This summer one of my badpony hand bags walkied down the red carpet for the opening of Sex and the City. I almost wet my pants. She carried it all night with the label facing out (good girl) I have had several call and it did generate nre clients.
The dress is out of control cool!!!! I love the top that had to take a million years to complete!

Jaimegirl writes: Thank you! It was NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to find the dot print my customer wanted so we ended up having to use a poplin we found at www.equilter.com! The entire dress is made of 97% cottton, 3% lycra! We were nervous that it would look very "cottony", but the style was enough, I think, to make it dressy. Posted: 4:35 pm on July 29th
