Usually, on Thanksgiving, planning the meal is our first priority (with good reason). There are plenty of things to do, like planning the menu (check out Fine Cooking's iPad app as well), braving crowded stores to purchase ingredients, and inviting over friends and family. Many of us don't worry about decorating until the last minute.
Last year, we shared some ideas for the ultimate last-minute decorating technique. Creatively folded napkins can be a quick and easy way to brighten up your holiday table. Of course there are more complicated folds, like Martha Stewart's turkey fold (you need two napkins and some aluminum foil), but you try the Napkin Folding Guide, if you are looking for something a little easier. There 27 ways to fold napkins with illustrated instructions. Martha also demonstrates a few other techniques in the video above.
Below are a few other quick ideas for holiday decorating when you are short on time. Don't stress out over the details too much and just try to enjoy the company of your friends and family this year.
Happy Thanksgiving!
