Explorers went searching for new lands, but also sailed in an effort to bring spices back to their motherland. Cinnamon or tumeric, cloves or ginger, perhaps?

This map features licorice and other flowers for teas, found on the main land. These artifacts are what the ship is brining back to its land, a successful expedition.

Bringing Back the Spices is an original painting featuring watercolor, thread, vellum, and ink, along with licorice and flowers. The 140 lb watercolor paper measures about 12 3/4 inches by 6 inches, and is signed and dated.
