Junk Mail Winter Scene
comments (0) December 14th, 2009 in galleryThese trees were inspired by Patricia Zapata at A Little Hut blog. The trees are made of strips of old magazine pages (red and green color scheme) glued onto cardstock weight paper. Tree silhouettes are drawn and cut, and a slit is cut down the middle of the trunk - 3/4 of the way up the trunk on one tree and 1/4 down the trunk of another tree. These slits allow for you to put the two trees together in a 3-dimensional manner. Full tutorial can be found on Ms. Zapata's blog.
I added "snow" to my scene by cutting up tiny pieces of old envelopes.
