Thousands of Temples with soaring towers dot the skyline of the southern state of Tamil Nadu in India. TheseTemples are landmarks of the celebrated heritage of the Tamil speaking people, and are repositories of the magnificent art forms that developed over several centuries. Quite a lot of these Temples have been glorified by the ancient Tamil hymns of the 1st millennium.
