Tote-ally reversible crochet flower bag
July 31st, 2008 in galleryEntry for: Play Ball (crocheted flower embellishments)
Title: Tote-ally reversible crochet flower bag
How I made it: Designed the pattern, cut out my "lining" (other side) and peices, added lots of interfacing inside. Created a zip pocket on both the inside and outside as well as nearly identical open pockets. Crocheted flowers and added them as embellishments to both open pockets on the inside and outside and topstitched around the handles, then knotted the handles together.
Why I should win: The two biggest trends for this fall? Plaid and denim. The biggest trend for summer? Hippie chic and retro. Combine all of them in one bag? Tote-ally possible! This bag is a red and blue plaid on one side and completely reversible with a simple denim on the other. Spruced up with a little crocheted applique (crocheted by me, of course) on the pockets, and you have a completely reversible edgy fall bag with just enough of a femine flair. Add a the knots on the handles and lots of pockets (3 pockets on one side and a zipper on the other on both the inside and the outside) and you have just enough detail and functionality to keep you both entertained and organized. Designed and made by me for the Tote-ally Crafty Bag Challenge for the Play Ball category (use of yarn on embellishment).
