Victorian Christmas Stocking
comments (1) January 6th, 2010 in galleryFrom the deep depths of my stash of of scraps and antique linens, I gathered the sweetest tidbits saved for over 30 years. Nothing purchased new went into this lovely design. The lavender silk for the body of the stocking was a scrap left over from a table cloth. The embroidered linen is cut from antique table linens and all the trims, baubles and beads and buttons and bows are that little piece left from so many projects long ago. What sweet girl wouldn't just love to look inside this stocking on Christmas morning? Maybe a diamond ring is hidden in the toe!
