Nativity wall plaque
comments (1) January 8th, 2010 in galleryThis little wall plaque features the baby Jesus in the manger being visited by angels. The images are cut from old Christmas cards, and the plaque itself is made from scrap lumber and old screen moulding from a disassembled porch. The image of the Christ child is outlined with a woodburned line, and underneath reads, "peace on earth", also recycled from a Christmas card. It measures about 4½ inches high by about 4 inches wide, and can hang on a wall or sit on a narrow ledge. It's hard to see in the photo, but the angels' wings have been bent slightly to give a 3 dimensional effect.
