I made this tote bag for my sister for Christmas. I used a thicker canvas-like fabric for the outside, and lined the inside with navy blue. I inserted a strip of the navy blue on the front, and put a piece of vintage lace on top of it. There is also a snap on the inside to hold the bag closed, and the straps of the bag are the same navy blue as the inside.
