Here are a few of the plush critters I've made from felted wool sweaters. I put a post on my blog about how to choose and felt the sweaters.  I love that the felted wool is so easy to work with and doesn't fray when it's cut. Plus it's a great way to reuse/repurpose a sweater you've accidentally shrunken. Or you can buy them for cheap at 2nd hand stores.
