Firs time to blog! Title: Crochet - cleaning sponges & Texas Amadillo's.
comments (0) January 28th, 2010Hi, my name is mary.I love to crochet.I love the Craft Stylish site. I got the Tawashi patternlast night from Craft Stylish free crochet patterns, and started one. It was late when I started it so I didn't get much done, but it looks promising. I'm using completely nylon thread that is about the same thickness as 4-ply thread. I can't wait to finish it. Another project I did using this same kind of thread was crocheting a cover for a sponge to use for either dishes or bathing. My son is a mechanic and comes home with grease and grime and he uses the sponge I made him. He loves it. Just pour a little shower gel on it and it suds up just like the puffs, but this sponge is tough enough to clean my son yet, I use one as well. It is not scratchy, yet I feel as if I get a spa treatment every time I take a shower. It feels like it takes off all the old dead skin cells. My legs and arms are smooth and clean after my shower. My son uses his so much, he' asked me to make him another one - he said he wore out the first one. I think it was the sponge not the thread, but he's getting a new one very soon in wild varigated nylon thread. It also makes an awesome dish cleaner too. If I find the exact pattern, I'll share with any of you that are intrested. I had to modify it due to my tension and had to use another hook size. That's all I have for now. Happy crocheting! PS: I'm from Texas and I'm looking for a pattern for an armadillo. If there is anyone who has one & would like to share, please blog mwalling55 so we can get each others email. It's something I've been looking for for years. I did find one that was little and looked like a toy for a child. I want a pattern of a life-sized armadillo with the raised armor on his back. I had bought one at a craft fair years ago and I've had people actually jump saying Did you know you have a opposu in your house. It was so real looking. Ok, now it's bye for now, again - Happy Crocheting and look for that Armadillo pattern"!
