These felted swirl brooches are real eye poppers!!!  They are wet felted and measure approx. 3" round.  They are backed with commercial felt and a pinback both attached with glue (in the case of the felt) and embroidery thread.

There is a felted ball in the middle.  I wet felt strands of wool roving (sometimes three ito make one rope (worm?).  Then comes the fun part of winding them around the ball attaching them with colorful thread.  

They look good on any wearable or anyone...camel, included.  He's on the cover of Wild Fibers magazine...what a photoshoot!
