I made this 8cm tall model of R2-D2 (from Star Wars, of course) entirely from FIMO Soft polymer clay, apart from two rare earth magnets which I embedded into his body and glued to the underside of his head, so that his head can rotate freely.
I built up the detail by baking the model several times, adding a few pieces each time, so I wouldn't risk smushing some of the details as I worked on the next area! I didn't paint it - all the colours are made from the polymer clay.
