Embroidered Vintage Coat
comments (0) February 8th, 2010 in galleryThis mid-thigh length raglan-sleeved coat is made from vintage jeans and a blue and white batik. I embroidered the center back panel with ombred white-yellow-silver thread in an Asian design. One sleeve features the original rear pocket now laying upside down. I sewed the original opening of the pocket shut, and ripped open the original bottom of the pocket, added a button to keep it closed, and it is now a functional pocket rightside up on the sleeve.
