Broomstick Crochet Jute bag

Broomstick Crochet Jute bag

PLAY BALL: Crocheted from jute that was given to me by an old friend who passed away, this bag is crocheted in the round in Broomstick Lace. The handles are afghan stitch and attached with buttons. Very sturdy, expanding bag. My original design.

This is most certainly a winning design. Easy and quick to make, and using thrift store odds 'n ends, it doesn't require much fiber... inexpensive and the reviews locally were rave.

SistaSue writes: I learned how to do the broomstick in the round on you tube... search out stitch diva videos... I made the pattern up as I went along, but if you give me a little time perhaps I could get it written down and share it. They are the greatest bags and I'm recycling those bamboo purse handles I can't seem to quite collecting... thanks for the compliment.
