AmyM writes: Needle Punch is done using a needle punch or felting machine. I have a Baby Lock Embellisher and Janome makes a version as well and I think Bernina makes an attachment for their machines. They look just like a regular sewing machine, except they have 7 or more needles that will punch through your fabric and "felt" it together.
You can also make my block with a traditional sewing machine by top stitching over the raw edges of the fabric.
