Anybody that works with yarn or fleece knows how difficult it can be to get the perfect color for your project. We all know how frustrating it can be when the blue yarn you need is not quite the right blue, or the green is just a bit too green for your taste. Gail Callahan's new book Hand Dyeing Yarn and Fleece teaches the beautiful art of hand-dying yarn, as well as some exciting and unusual techniques.

Hand Dying Yarn and Fleece spends a lot of time explaining the important tools needed to create beautifully hand-colored fibers, as well as what types of yarn work well for dyeing. The book also explains the different types of dye that can be used for yarn and responsible and safe ways to dispose of any potentially hazardous materials. This is great instruction for new dyers as well as a handy reference for anybody with experience.

Gail Callahan's book shows 17 unique ways to dye yarn for beautiful, one-of-a-kind results. She also includes several projects and swatch techniques designed to show of hand-dyed yarn.
