Monogrammed Shabby Chic Tote Bag
comments (3) April 2nd, 2010 in galleryI made this Tote with normal quilting weight 100% Cotton fabric. Medium weight interfacing was applied to the outside body of the tote for some added body. I applied heavy weight interfacing to the straps. Binding was added to the top of the bag for a more firm edge. This bag is great for day/shopping trips. I added three pockets to the lining (one to accomodate a water bottle). Both front and back of Tote have pockets between the straps. I added my signature GY monogram to the front pocket. This tote also has a closure with fabric covered button. Finally, finished with lots of top stitching. I like to use my blind hem foot, with a far left needle position for the top stitching.
