Skinny knitted hoody with pouch
comments (0) April 8th, 2010 in galleryKnit from a combination of blended yarns, this sweater emerged from my head and extruded from my fingers after I found the bulk of the project in the form of 7 5oz skeins in a thrift store bin.
Knit on a single needle and designed as I go along, this took me 6 days.
There is an exquisite hand spun painted silk wool blend on the sleeves and bottom and the hood and pouch is soft and cuddly boucle.
My daughter will have this treasure forever. Embellished with the buttons she loves to make jewellry with, I'm sure that she will stand out on her own while fitting right in with the Saltspring culture while being appropriate for a cycling, active Gulf Island, teen life.
In the near future, I will get this to Grace and Ill be sure to take photos to share with you, here, so you can see it actually on.
