I got a copy of the book Kanzashi In Bloom by Sister Diane and it inspired me. I made a few flowers with cloth and buttons and then as I was digging through the drawer I saw this leftover Pinewood Derby car wheel and the gears started turning! As a mother of boys, naturally I have some nice checkered flag type material left over from those race curtains I made a million years ago and so it all came together! This made a perfect gift for my friend who is a Cub Scout den mom!!
