Crafty Bag Challenge Sherry
July 29th, 2008 in sewing, restyle, knitting, crochet, paper crafts, galleryI made this stylish clutch out of completely recycled materials. The main body of the bag was knit with plastic grocery bags I cut into strips and made into balls of "yarn". The white tweed is from Rite-Aid bags and the beige straps and stripe are from Long's Drugs bags. The buttons are made out of copper circles I cut out of scrap copper. I pressed a subtle design into the copper. There are red paper mash beads on top of the copper circles. The button loops are the Long's bags crocheted and attached to the bag. There is a row of plastic strip frills along one side and at the bottom corners. This bag cost nothing to make and is very sturdy and attractive too.
