Here is a bag made out of bags! I knitted with "plarn" combined with silk yarns---"plarn" is yarn created out of cut up, recycled plastic shopping bags. The tans of the "plarn" blends effectively with the beiges and tans of the silk yarns. The bag's circular bottom (7") is crocheted of the silk yarns and then crocheted onto the knitted tubular purse body (12" high).  The rough surface of the silk noil yarns contrasts effectively with the smooth texture of the plastic bags.  Two circular clear plastic handles are attached with crocheted ties on the top rim of the bag. Be fashionable while upcycling!

gran1000 writes: I love the thought of using those pesky bags from the store and making them into something truly useful. But tell me do they make a rustling noise like the bags they are made from?
