Tape patterns to oaktag, and using graphite ( or carbon) paper, transfer all lines.

Using a ruler and an xacto knife, score lines of octagons - for bottom of box, top of lid.

Wrap srtrip around the box centering so 3/8 of paper extends beyond rim and bottom of the box.
Press paper smooth and flat as you go to avoid air bubbles.

Clip into 3/8 extensions at each corner, then fold paper over rim to inside of the box and to the bottom of the box.
Spray smaller newspaper on octagon and apply to inside bottom of the box, glue smaller amount to the octagon of decorative paper to outside bottom of the box.
In the same manner, cover the lid.
