Skirt-to-Bag Upcycled Purse / Tote
comments (0) June 24th, 2010 in galleryI LOVE this bag! It grows or shrinks depending on your needs of the moment.
Created from a tan, microfiber Tommy Hilfiger drawstring skirt found in a thrift shop, some strong, cotton webbing for the handles, and a pretty blue and tan floral cotton for the lining.
Double snap closures on front pockets, roomy pocket inside.
Blue heart design is embroidered across front and back at bottom for interest. Blue buttonholes at top for drawstring. Drawstring cord locks say "Tommy" on them. The designer's logo is also embroidered over one of the front pockets.
Measures 19" wide
11" tall
2 1/2" deep
28" shoulder straps with a 13" drop (could also be carried by hand.)
All seams are reinforced, sturdy interfacing shapes the lining, and a boxed 'x' is sewn at handle base for extra strength.
This is such a versatile bag, you'll use it all the time! For shopping, market, beach, hanging out, or whatever!
