Flowy Flirty Halter Gown
comments (2) June 30th, 2010 in galleryThis is a nice, flowy, summery halter gown, made from my own pattern. The back is low cut into a v-shape. This dress is perfect for a special night out. The fabrics I used are a flower print silk and charmeuse. The flower is made from leftover charmeuse fabric which I gathered and tacked it to the front of the dress. The ties are sewn on for stability.

Your website details how you love to "re-purpose" fabrics to up beat designs. Unfortunately, you haven't given any detailed write up of how the garment is made or special detailing (ie. is it made from something else originally? The flower detail on the bodice and the halter ties --- do the ties go through the flowery detail? Did you drape to fit the bustline of whomever will wear the design or is the cut bias, or with shirring? Want to see the back detailing --- ).
See, we want more, more detail. This is stunning and my pick for a summery dress, perhaps you can add more details before the contest ends, or more views of the dress????
