Embroidered Cards
comments (0) July 10th, 2010I've been dabbling in embroidery and using it for card making. Embroidering cards is super easy! All you need is a good punching awl (a sharp piercing tool, I found mine near the sewing accessories at my local craft store), some cork board to go behind it (I used my existing cork message board off of my wall), some embroidery thread and good heavy cardstock.
Figure out what pattern you want to make, trace it on the card, and then punch holes through the card stock with the punching awl. After you're done, just run your thread and needle through the holes to form your design. It's also fun to pair embroidery with stamping to create unique, cute cards.
