The final look of the dresses. Bright colors of golden maize, raspberry, and tangerine. These dresses can be worn again for any occasion.
This fabric was used to accent the dresses I made for a friends wedding. This shows the orginal look.
View of the redesign of 1st photo. This was used for the insert of the dress at the bodice and the ruffle accent at the hemline.

These dresses were made using a Burda style pattern. The original pattern called for lace accents. Since we could not find lace to compliment the colors of the Dupionni silk fabric chosen we came across the fabric shown in photo 1.

By pleating the fabric we recreated a lace 'photo 2' look for the bodice and hem. The colors were of a great compliment to all the colors of the dresses. Think of the colors of the Gerber daisies and you will get a great since of the colors of these garments.
