Two to Tango Dress
comments (0) July 23rd, 2010 in galleryThis is the dress I made to my cousin's wedding this summer. I wanted a retro inspired dress and used Vogue 8280. The dress is fully lined in the same red satin I used for the ruffle. The black sequined embroidered fabric is sheer, so with the lining, a hint of red shows through. I created a smoother line by top stitching the waist and bottom of the dress above the ruffle to prevent the fabric from bunching up. The zipper and ruffle hem are hand sewn.
Overall, I am pleased with the way the dress turned out. It's perfect for dancing the night away.
