Dress Make-over: Wintery denim to summery pink

When I thift shop, I look not only at clothing, but at each component that makes up that piece: buttons, bodice, skirt, yardage, etc. I can usually find a great dress - using several other dresses to make it. Here, I was given this thrift shop find of a denim dress. A winter dress, I guess, because it was long sleeved, and heavy. I felt this fress needed a new life, so I made it into a summer dress using a skirt cut off an older dress that was lurking in the back of the closet. I changed the sleeves into a summery gentle poof style. I made the buttons lighter. I took off the collar and used pink stitching around the new mandrin collar.
