For the background of the card I used a page from a book box I'm making (coming soon). The hearts are the skeleton of a sticker sheet (like what's left when you use all the stickers), the bow was on a gift my parents bought me years ago, and the "Love" was cut out of magazines. :)
For the inside of the card I used a piece of paper that had gotten water on it, but only on the top. I used Elmer's school glue because I'm kind of in a love-hate relationship with glue sticks...(we're not on speaking terms right now) so it turned out kind of wrinkly. Eh, live and learn.
For the back I just used this black paper from a magazine ad. It's also pretty wrinkly (even though I used the glue stick this time!), so I guess I'll have to get some other kinda glue that doesn't do that... any suggestions?

Hi, my name is stephiejill18, and I am an admitted packrat. But my hording of random junk has made a recent pay-off!
This is a card I made last night by recycling materials I salvaged. I like to save boxes - cereal, pop tart, vanilla wafers, you name it - because they are wonderful to put gifts in! However, the boxes pile up pretty fast... So I cut one up last night and fashioned it into a cute lil card! Everything that I used to decorate the card was totally recycled too... it's the only way to go! ;)
Oh - and obviously, this idea can be used for so much more than cards. Decorating boxes, vases, binders, journals...etc. Sky's the limit!
